A medium-bitter digestive obtained from the infusion of herbs such as condurango, cardamom, cinnamon, bitter orange peels, cinchona.
Alcohol strength: 30% alc vol.
Shelf life: Indefinite
Colour: opaque, jet brown/black colour.
Aroma: first impressions are laced with herbaceous-botanical scents of orange peel, cardamom and baking spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg. Later sniffs encounter more narrowly focused herbal-earthy traces, especially roots and tubers.
Taste: entry features the moderately bitter taste of orange peel and cardamom as they tango on one's tongue in a dance of seduction all the way through the midpalate and well into the aftertaste. While other notable amaros club you into strong bitterness Luxardo has selected the middle road path in terms of bitterness to win the appreciation of women and men alike.
