Pruny Aspra is not a typical jam that has been strained or sieved, as it retains the typical fibrous nature of sour plum pulp while remaining easy to spread. It is ideal for jam tarts, cooks well in an oven at 180°C – 356°F without boiling or staining baking tins with liquid. It does not contain .thickening agents, preserves, colouring agents or acidifiers. The only ingredients are sour plums and sugar
